Many lupus patients often hear "But you don't look sick." This can be very frustrating for someone living with an "invisible illness" like lupus, looking perfectly healthy from the outside, but internally at war, and the culprit is their own immune system. This often leads people who aren't educated about lupus and its affects to misunderstand those living with the disease and the true impact and seriousness of the disease. This project reveals the truths of life with lupus, but it also reveals the external beauty and internal struggle of these amazing women.
